Session #12

Adopting the Orcs

Fang

As Played by Dimitri

Fang (Lv. 8)

Lv. 8 Barbarian

Fang is a half-orc, leaning more on the orc side than human. His family has always lived on the edges of civilization, and he's learned everything he knows from them. Fang prioritizes his connection to people above all else, and it's through that connection he fuels and channels his rage. Fang desperately wants to be well-liked, and relies on his strength to get him out of most situations. He is also very superstitious, with a strong distaste for magic. "And the fate of man is in the hands/ Of he who stands and heeds the call" -Greta Van Fleet, Black Smoke Rising

A bullywug who grew up far away from society, Laetiporus was raised by a single grandmother. He always dreamed of going to the outside world, but his grandmother was scared of leaving the forest. From her he also inherited a fear of outsiders -- but realized he had to get over this fear if he was going to care for Mortimer, his giant cursed rabbit. He finally ventured out, and now loves the outside world with his lovely village. He dreams of one day visiting the mystical land of "Poland" that his grandmother always told him stories about.

As Played by Amanda

Astrid (Lv. 8)

Lv. 8 Druid (Circle of the Moon)

A Wood Elf druid with long, curly brown hair. She has a Druidic focus that is just a big stick.

Tue July 11, 1178 (23:00) - Fri July 14, 1178 (21:30)

In the clearing, the party fought off 4 blood red wolves, lackeys of the evil druid Fanviryn. In doing so they rescued a group of orcish teenagers from being polymorphed into animals for Fanviryn to hunt. In the fight, a raven divebombed into them and left a letter: You are a fun bunch. You'll make for a challenging hunt. - Fanviryn The party then returned the orcs to the merchant's camp, where their wounds were tended to. They agreed to bring the orcs along to Monport so they could secure safe passage back to their home along the Monday River. Unfortunately, this cost them a total of 8 gold paid to the merchants, unwilling to offer all their services for free (they need to make a living somehow). They looked at some maps at a local cartographer to decide where the Twisted Hills are likely located, and noted down new details to their own map. Finally the group went to explore the giant dam on the Monday River and learn the mechanics of it. They found that it is patrolled by hundreds of guards, twenty at each tower along its length, and has massive steam vents plus guard towers at periodic intervals.
