Session #13

Mishaps in Monport

Fang

As Played by Dimitri

Fang (Lv. 8)

Lv. 8 Barbarian

Fang is a half-orc, leaning more on the orc side than human. His family has always lived on the edges of civilization, and he's learned everything he knows from them. Fang prioritizes his connection to people above all else, and it's through that connection he fuels and channels his rage. Fang desperately wants to be well-liked, and relies on his strength to get him out of most situations. He is also very superstitious, with a strong distaste for magic. "And the fate of man is in the hands/ Of he who stands and heeds the call" -Greta Van Fleet, Black Smoke Rising

Laetiporus (Lv. 5)

This character is no longer in the game.

Lv. 4 Ranger
Lv. 1 Warlock

A bullywug who grew up far away from society, Laetiporus was raised by a single grandmother. He always dreamed of going to the outside world, but his grandmother was scared of leaving the forest. From her he also inherited a fear of outsiders -- but realized he had to get over this fear if he was going to care for Mortimer, his giant cursed rabbit. He finally ventured out, and now loves the outside world with his lovely village. He dreams of one day visiting the mystical land of "Poland" that his grandmother always told him stories about.

Fri July 14, 1178 (21:30) - Sun July 16, 1178 (08:00)

The party explores the top of the Monday Dam, finding that it is heavily guarded. They start hatching a plan to commit domestic terrorism and destroy the dam. Their verdict: Get barrels of explosives, and hide them in a merchant cart with wine. The rest of the plan is undecided, but various options of how to detonate the bombs and where to put them are under consideration. After a poor night's rest at the Stoic Tradesman's Inn, they are booted out for the daytime guests. Teemo and Korg go searching for a black market to buy explosives and other goods, while Laetiporus and Fang go to a library to find helpful materials. At the library, Laetiporus learns the history of the creation of the world and the Unification, while Fang learns how to make Alchemist's Fire and various other explosive tools. Laetiporus then also finds a schematic diagram for how dams are usually constructed. Meanwhile, Teemo and Korg find a short, shifty drug dealer in a back alley who leads them to the black market through the city's sewers. Teemo gets a glance at his face and finds that this is some sort of gnome, though evidently not very well to do and with a very unkempt beard. They get a map to the black market, and inside learn that almost anything they need for their plan is far out of their budget. After reconvening and getting a new room at a different inn (the Common Merchant's Inn), they decide to start selling their services as hired muscle. Several posters are created and put up around the city and black market. While they are placing posters in the black market, the party finds the Hunter's Guild, and meets a dwarf named Bugrul. They discover that the Guild is looking to hunt the wolf Fanviryn, and are paying a pretty penny for her capture. They are told she was last seen to the west of the Elltyr Mountains, in a region they call the Twisted Hills. (If she is captured, they are to bring her to 27 Quay Street and ask for Bugrul). The party finally retires to their 6-person room at the inn, leaving Lien and Rimidenn with a separate room with one bed.
