Description here

Tue July 18, 1178 (06:00 - 21:00)

While 3 of the party despawn, the remainder ventures forth to the Twisted Hills at Zerendar's request. They pass through Argentium, acquiring 6 magnificently tasty muffins while their for a measly 10 gold pieces. They then continue onwards toward the small town of Pinehome, along a beaten road. On their way there, the party encounters a caravan of gnomes moving a steel prison cube down the road. The caravan keeps quiet about their purpose, but the party discovers they're actually preparing to sacrifice a group of non-gnomes to Fanviryn, as part of the Beasting Contest, to try to capture her. As a result, Astrid pretends to be one of Fanviryn's wolves to draw the gnomes away from the caravan, while Korg begins a murderous rampage of the gnomish guards. Eventually, the head gnome (Lady Handra Mintak Zemtyr) flees while her guards are brutally slaughtered by the party (primarily Korg). From there, they freed the prisoners, who turned out to be various murderers. Fanviryn was nowhere to be seen the entire time. They also found a tree with a bottle of rum hidden inside, which they drank part of and kept for later. They then continued onwards, exiting the valley they were in to reach the Twisted Hills themselves. They found an ancient ruin, where they solve a puzzle that involved pressing buttons in the correct order (Sprout -> House -> Bat -> Dagger -> Lock -> Leaf) to open a hidden underground den. In the den, they found a magical compass-like object which directed them farther to the Forge Goddess' Foundry, and text engraved in the wall: """Oh, blessed day! Glorious day! The fiend is vanquished! Thank you, dear Irna, for keeping us safe so long. So long since we have seen the world outside the den... So long since we saw the Foundry... So long since we've felt the heat of the forge. I fear, though. They say the fiend was defeated, but escaped. I fear... I fear where he went. He ran from our Foundry, but to where? The northern tundra? Silverforge in the east? South, across the lake? To Zec'Amos? These are places stronger than us. Why would he go there? No, no. I fear, that he went into the hills themselves, into the caves beneath our great Foundry. Nobody listens to me, but I'll show them. I'll go after him, that's what I'll do. I'm going to destroy that monster once and for all.""" Finally, they found the Foundry with the help of the magical compass stone, and entered the now-collapsed ruin through a small hole in the rocks.
