Description here
Fang is a half-orc, leaning more on the orc side than human. His family has always lived on the edges of civilization, and he's learned everything he knows from them. Fang prioritizes his connection to people above all else, and it's through that connection he fuels and channels his rage. Fang desperately wants to be well-liked, and relies on his strength to get him out of most situations. He is also very superstitious, with a strong distaste for magic. "And the fate of man is in the hands/ Of he who stands and heeds the call" -Greta Van Fleet, Black Smoke Rising
A fight immediately broke out with the Crypt Keeper of Mezdamol. The party fought valiantly, but struggled against the onslaught of undead monstrosities and necrotic power of the Crypt Keeper. One of the beasts, the Skeletal Timewatcher, confused the Executors with its manipulation of time to seemingly duplicate itself. However, Carnage realized this allowed her to double up on damage to it, as both the present and future versions could be affected by the same fireball! Korg fought a horde of Bone Nagas, and quickly learned he could rip the magic item powering them out of their chests to destroy them. From across the room, Fang tried to replicate this - to less success. Astrid used a flaming sphere to spread fire and destruction across the room, damaging the beasts but also burning most of the Crypt Keeper's notes and desks: oops! Fang fought bravely against the Crypt Keeper themselves, taking many hits but also dealing lots of damage to them. After fighting for quite some time, the Crypt Keeper asked for the Executors to hear them out just once. They saw the party's strength and ability, and were reminded of the values of the old Kingdom of Mezdamol. They had one request - if one of the party would take up the Oath of the Crypt Keeper and become their apprentice, as a new warlock of the War Goddess. The Executors could also take Zerendar's pocketwatch anchor out of the beast that it was powering (the Timewatcher), so long as they later bring back a magic item of equal or greater power. After thinking for a while, Carnage decided to take up the offer to become a warlock of thne War Goddess. She took up the oath, and thus became the next in line to take the title of Crypt Keeper of Mezdamol, once the current one decided she was worthy. Together, the party left the Necropolis and started deciding where to go next. Some wanted to explore the valleys around the Thursday River, where the old Kingdom of Deepwood used to stand, and one of Zerendar's vaults lies. The rest wanted to explore north, to an area labelled as the "tainted lake" and where the Cavern of the Sea God would be as per the old world map. This group won out, and took the Executors up northeast and through the Wastes towards the "tainted lake" (which they believed to actually be the ocean). The trek through the Wastes was long and arduous, taking around 4 days of travelling only at night and taking shelter during the day from the dry, sweltering sun. Any water they drank was from Astrid casting Create Water, and their only food was goodberries. However, they made it. They found a massive body of water, with the moonlight glistening across the waves, and a ruined city standing on the water - the remnants of Moon's Rest.
