Fang

As Played by Dimitri

Fang (Lv. 8)

Lv. 8 Barbarian

Fang is a half-orc, leaning more on the orc side than human. His family has always lived on the edges of civilization, and he's learned everything he knows from them. Fang prioritizes his connection to people above all else, and it's through that connection he fuels and channels his rage. Fang desperately wants to be well-liked, and relies on his strength to get him out of most situations. He is also very superstitious, with a strong distaste for magic. "And the fate of man is in the hands/ Of he who stands and heeds the call" -Greta Van Fleet, Black Smoke Rising

Thu August 3, 1178 (23:00) - Sun August 6, 1178 (20:00)

Starting off in front of a wrecked Gnomish warship, the Executors of course went inside to explore it. Inside, they learned that the burning of Moon's Rest seemed to have been done by an invasion from Mezdamol, and the gnomes were there to clean up the oil spill and help defend the city. They theorized there might have been an alliance between Zec'Amos (the gnomes) and Northmoon. Afterwards, they moved onwards to explore the grand temple they saw earlier. They explored within and found many valuable things: - Some carvings of the gods of the old world, showing the 6 gods and "life itself" - A dictionary to convert from Northic (the language of Northmoon) to Gnomish - Fang found a picture book to learn sailing, and went to the city shipyards to locate a still-seaworthy boat for the party to use - Astrid and Carnage learned of the "Voyage of the Faithful", a pilgrimage undertaken by the people of Northmoon to get audience with the Sea God - Teemo set up camp and discovered faith-based bridges across the temple: invisible bridges that could only be walked on or interacted with if one believes they are there, and are otherwise completely immaterial Next, the party ventured off to make the Voyage of the Faithful themselves. After two full days of sailing through the chilly waters of Northmoon Bay, they spotted a stone island in the middle - but their course also brought them into a violent storm, which took the combined effort of the entire party rowing against the wind to pass through. They were tossed and turned through the waves, but Fang's quick thinking to tie everyone to the boat kept them from being swept away into the sea. Reaching the stone island, they sailed into the gaping cave inside it and let the darkness beyond envelop them. There, they faced several trials: 1. The trial of the sea, which they passed by getting to the cavern in the first place. 2. The trial of subtlety, where they hid themselves from a spotlight shining from above. 3. The trial of hospitality, where they set aside their biases and rescued a stranded gnome, giving her shelter and warmth as she recovered from being stranded in this cavern (she was an illusion and turned to mist after being helped) Now, the party faces their final trial, which the pilgrimage guide described simply as "Seeing is Disbelieving". Their boat sits in the middle of pure darkness, on still water, as three bright lights appear over the water around them: Two in front, and one behind.
