* Started in Hickory, learned about travel in the Deepwoods being very difficult and requiring extensive knowledge to avoid the dangers of the forest * Successfully avoided being scammed by the Guild of Guides and some random guy saying he sold maps and that the forest isn't actually dangerous * Travelled to Alderwood via Walnut Creek, paid for passage on a small boat * Had some scary encounters along the road - people ahead of them vanishing in the night, a child crying for help which turned out to be some sort of forest creature trying to lure them into a trap, a giant statue, and a bush that tried to pull them into itself * Accidentally got interrogated by gnomes in Alderwood, spilled the beans about Dirt VII's grandmother living in Silt (thoughts got detected) * Talked to Longroid, a resistance contact, to learn of a village called Stump where they can go to "strengthen their faith" (code for learning about the resistance). They had trouble * Paid a hunter to join him on his venture towards Silt so they could try to get there before House Rutred doe * Ended session by stepping on a small flower that grew tenfold in size and became bigger than all of them combined, and then started attacking the party
