A bullywug who grew up far away from society, Laetiporus was raised by a single grandmother. He always dreamed of going to the outside world, but his grandmother was scared of leaving the forest. From her he also inherited a fear of outsiders -- but realized he had to get over this fear if he was going to care for Mortimer, his giant cursed rabbit. He finally ventured out, and now loves the outside world with his lovely village. He dreams of one day visiting the mystical land of "Poland" that his grandmother always told him stories about.

The party continues on their attempt to find the Beast of Darkwood Grove. After a detailed search of some ransacked fields, they realize the beast is a rabbit - though one of immense size. They corner the rabbit to a small clearing in the forest and move in to catch it, but are attacked by bears living under the trees. After slaughtering the bears, Laetiporus speaks with the rabbit and realizes that the bears were its guardians. Together the party agrees to ask the priestess to keep the rabbit fed with goodberries so that it would stop eating the crops. They return to the Guildhouse and have a good rest before their trek to Norwood Keep.
