Business Systems Analyst at Canada Life

My first co-op term was a challenging, but very worthwhile experience. I was given far less direction than I was prepared for and left to direct myself throughout the term. While it was a good experience to be forced into constantly asking questions and taking initiative, it was difficult to constantly search for more work to do. It was interesting to learn about API development and see how enterprise software development works, but I found that the slow progress and highly repetitive work isn't what I'm looking for in my career. I'm grateful for the experience and knowledge, but I now know to explore different branches of the field in the future.
